Playwright
Jillian Blevins is a playwright and theatre artist from New England whose short plays have been performed across the country. Her 10-minute Jewish sci-fi comedy ‘Space Laser, in Space!’ was a finalist at last year’s Samuel French Off Off Broadway New Play Festival. This summer, two of her full length plays inspired by women from history will have their world premieres—Romeo & Her Sister, a dramedy about queer Victorian actress Charlotte Cushman, will run in Portsmouth New Hampshire, and Mere Waters, a magical-realist drama inspired by Holocaust survivor Dr. Gisella Perl, will play at the Connelly Theatre in the East Village as part of the SheNYC Festival.
