SCOTT C. SICKLES (he/him) is an LGBTQ+/ neurodivergent/ Korean American writer whose plays have been performed in New York City, across the U.S., and internationally in Canada, Australia, the UK, Hungary, Singapore, Indonesia, Lebanon, and Dubai. WHEEL OF FORTUNE REVERSED recently made its stage debut with Traffic Jam Theatre Co in Savannah, Georgia. PLAYING ON THE PERIPHERY: MONOLOGUES AND SCENES FOR AND ABOUT QUEER KIDS will have its world premiere with Whim Productions in Kansas City, Missouri, in August 2023. His other evening of short plays, HELLISH DELIGHTS, is available at Next Stage Press along with his full-lengths COMPOSURE, FROM THE TOP, MOONLIGHT & LOVE SONGS, and HAIRDRESSER ON FIRE. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis’s world premiere of NONSENSE AND BEAUTY received an Edgerton New Play Award and was an ATCA Steinberg Award Finalist. Other full-lengths include: MARIANAS TRENCH (O’Neill finalist; Portland Stage); PANGEA (Garry Marshall Theatre); THE KNOWN UNIVERSE (Mixed Asian Media Fest); PERFECTING THE KISS: A MOCKUMENTARY FOR THE STAGE (Mind the Gap Theatre); INTELLECTUALS (Smith & Kraus); and SEASIDE TRAGEDIES (Seven Devils finalist). Sickles has also received five consecutive Writers Guild of America Awards for GENERAL HOSPITAL and eleven Emmy nominations.
